This was a BIG birthday for our Jack. Since Jack was born on Leap Day we had to wait FOUR years to celebrate his FIRST “real” birthday! So rather than our normal living room soiree, we went big! For this celebration we rented out a local vintage movie theatre. It’s one of those magical theatres with a stage surrounded by giant ornate pillars, red velvet curtains, and stars on the ceiling. Since we even got to pick our own movie, we decided this would be a great time to have a Minion party! Jack also invited all of his pre-school classmates, which made this party even more exciting.

 

This party had a lot of moving pieces. The invitations were only the beginning. Each invitee also received a personalized VIP ticket with their name on it and we included a small handbill sized flier with more information about the party, what to expect, directions for gifts (as in “please don’t bring any”) and information on the movie time and parking. So these invitation envelopes were packed full of information.

 

We had popcorn, drinks, and movie theatre candy for our guests as well as little treat bags with “Minion Munch” (puppy chow, pretzels, M&Ms, and candy eyes) for our party favors. Here you will see our table signs as well as the headers that I stapled on to the tops of the movie theatre candy bags.
